Why Kapilina?
Building community as an adult isn't always easy. Kapilina was created to make it a little easier — by creating welcoming spaces where people can gather, connect, and simply enjoy being together.

Why I Created Kapilina
For most of my life, my family has been my strongest sense of community. I didn't fully realize how much that connection meant to me until I found myself in places where they weren't nearby.
Meeting people and building community outside of my family has been really hard for me. It's one thing to meet people; it's another to find the deeper connections that make you feel like you truly belong.
When I came to Maui, I became even more aware of that gap. I started thinking about how many adults are surrounded by people and still don't have a place where they feel genuinely connected.
I wanted to create the kind of space I had wished for myself — somewhere you could show up as you are, meet people naturally, have some fun, and find your way into meaningful community.
Kapilina is my invitation to make connection a little easier.
